Machinist - Level 2
As a Machinist - Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Your expertise in machining techniques and ability to interpret blueprints and specifications will ensure the production of high-quality components. Additionally, you will contribute to process improvement initiatives and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce precision parts
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
Measure, examine, and test completed components to ensure conformance to specifications
Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and productivity
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and guidelines
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in operating and setting up machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
Strong knowledge of machining techniques and ability to interpret blueprints and specifications
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
WE VALUE
Technical certification or associate degree in machining or related field
Experience with CNC machining
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Strong communication and teamwork skills
