Pay Range:
46.91 - 64.50 per hour
A-shift hours- 8am-5pm
PTO, holiday pay, and sick pay are offered


Position Purpose/Scope:

Guides the project phases of planning, executing, initiating, and approving new controls installations. Offers specialized engineering knowledge for new systems and formulates strategies to enhance control operations. Establishes benchmarks and exemplary practices for control methodologies within the department.

Position
Responsibilities:

Supports the design and integration of control systems within the department, establishing industry-leading practices and ensuring compliance with BMW's central functions.
Analyzes designs both technically and financially, advocating for modifications in line with BMW Group standards.
Works with internal stakeholders and external vendors to plan and execute project initiatives. Seeks the most cost-effective, high-quality, ergonomic, and environmentally friendly solutions, while fostering technical innovation.
Prepares cost projections, including investment and budgetary considerations, drafts technical requirements, and solicits quotations.
Supports the selection process for potential contractors, managing the invitation to bid, assessment of proposals, and recommendations for contract awards.
Supports the acceptance of equipment from suppliers and its subsequent transition to the production team.
Executes highly complex projects with a strict adherence to budgetary constraints.
Keeps management informed about key project milestones and progress.
Introduces corrective actions to enhance the dependability of control equipment promptly.
Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Assumes additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Position Competencies:

Education:

BA/BS degree in IT or Engineering; OR AA/AS degree in a related technical field (IT/Electrical/Computer/Mechatronics) and 2 years of professional controls planning experience in a manufacturing environment; OR The equivalent of 4 years of professional controls planning experience in a manufacturing environment.


Experience:

5
years of professional engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
5
years of professional experience managing projects including structural modification measures in several equipment and/or controls planning projects.
5
years of professional experience with production/controls systems and equipment.
5
years of knowledge of controls systems
5
years skills problem investigation & data analysis.
5
years of skills in long and short-term project management (continuous improvement, process analysis, controls planning).
5
years of MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access).
5
years of professional communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
3
years of skills to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
3
years of skills in using and applying statistical methods.
3
years of Microsoft Office Project skills.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
