Are you ready to build your career by joining an international automotive company? If so, our client is hiring an Indirect Purchasing Buyer!What You'll Do:
Supports the activities of the procurement process chain, including strategy and internal customers at the respective interfaces.
Organizes activities in accordance with existing rules and regulations.
Gathers information from the technical departments to assist with the determination of the specific requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications and/or scope of work, potential suppliers, timelines and others.
Obtains input from legal, financial, and other departments to ensure that all contractual and commercial issues of the potential contract are managed.
Solicits and evaluates bids and quotations from suppliers for the requested commodity and recommends pricing to ensure the best cost-performance ratio.
Uses existing supplier databases and evaluation and development processes and systems.
Implements purchase contracts by using existing procurement systems that comply with company regulations.
Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) principles and concepts of standard work and problem solving.
Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
What You Bring:
BA/BS degree (in Business Administration preferred) or the equivalent of 4 years of experience as a buyer.
Over 6 months of experience in:
Material/supply/logistics planning.
Consumables and/or capital investment buyer for a manufacturing company in the automotive industry (preferred).
Project management.
Negotiating product, price, delivery and pay.
Basic knowledge of procurement systems (i.
e.
Portal M, SAP, etc.
).
