Job SummaryResponsible for the daily operations of the clinic to include the provision of quality services to patients, the promotion of teamwork among the staff, maintenance of the building and equipment, compliance with all applicable policies and procedures and operating within the approved budget.

The assignment of level and corresponding salary grade is based on the score produced when scope data related to the clinic is entered into the Management Scope Matrix, designed and administered jointly by Human Resources and Clinic Leadership.
Accountabilities Coordinates and directs the daily operations of theclinic including the development, implementation, andmaintenance of department policies and procedures.
Interprets, implements and educates employees on allpractice policies and procedures, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
- 10%Identifies problems and needs by daily rounds and recommends operational changes to improve efficiency andeffectiveness.
- 10%Maintains medical records that are legible, accurate, accessible and confidential.
- 5%Establishes and maintains appropriate measures to ensure the safety and security of employees, facilities andequipment.
- 5%Manages human resources including hiring, orientation, training, discipline, and dismissal of staff.
- 10%Monitors staffing levels in relationship to workload and makes adjustments as appropriate.
- 5%Assists staff in developing goals and objectives for individual professional growth and demonstrates effective leadership techniques to enhance productivity and employee morale.
- 5%Ensures problems, complaints, and regulatory violations are investigated and appropriate action is taken to resolve the issue within the requested time frame.
- 5%Meets regularly with the employee and physician staffs to solicit their input and inform them of practice issues.
- 5%Manages registration, insurance verification and charge capture.
Consults with the Billing Department to review accounts receivable, edits, rejections, charge corrections and other factors influencing collections.
Takes correctiveaction in the practice to improve collections and ensure financial stability.
Develops and ensures appropriateinternal controls including cash management and control.
- 15%Answers patient inquiries and promptly follows-up on all complaints, taking corrective action as required.
- 5%Participates in the preparation of the annual capital and operational budgets and maintains expenses within the approved budget.
- 10%Presents monthly financial results to physicians and others as requested.
Points out financial strengths, explains variances to budget, highlights areas of concern, and recommends and implements corrective action as necessary.
- 10%Supervisory/Management ResponsibilitiesJob has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority.
Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have direct reports.
Minimum RequirementsHigh School or Equivalent5 Years -Clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
Must include 2 years at a lead/coordinator level in billing, admissions, scheduling, and/or medical records.
Prefer 1-2 years at a management level.
In Lieu OfIn Lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, Bachelors degree (Business Administration or related) and 2 years at lead/coordinator level in healthcare billing, admissions, scheduling, and/or medical records.
For internal Prisma Health candidates:
In lieu of 5 yrs.
clerical experience in a healthcare setting = Bachelor D.
plus 2-yrs.
Prisma Health experience in Mgmt, Finance or Operations.
